#33 Joshua and Elmo

Another Joshua shot. This time with Elmo. I was playing with HDR on this one. I wanted to get a picture with the sun blowing out the shot. This was a photoshoot we did in the front yard. I really dig it.

Been a while

It's been a while since I've posted here. I'm going to bring this back online. I'll have to count up the weeks and see how long it's been. I'll have to break out my calendar to see what week of the year this is. Then I'll post an image.

It's the 33rd week.

Oops. Looks like I'll have to post my image from work. I left it there.

#7 Joshua (My Oldest Boy)

This is a picture of my boy. He graduated from a kid's program since he turned 3 this past week. He's a very cute boy.

I did some tweeking to his eyes to bring them out a bit. Also burned the corners.

Enjoy

#6 Sorry

Sorry. I didn't get time to put up a #6. I think this is going to be a 50 picture project. That gives me 2 weeks to miss. This is the first.

This week's picture should be fun. Come back later.

#5 Dancer

I took this picture at a medieval event I goto on the weekends. She was preforming a middle eastern dance that is beautiful to watch. I wish I got more shots, but I was also busy juggling kids around.

You might see more of this theme since this is what I normally do on the weekends. I haven't gotten into it for the past year, but I'm getting back into the swing of things.

If you're interested, check it out at http://www.sca.org/ and find a group in your area.

#4 My $60 Tank

Okay, so I'm a little late. I thought I'd make a small statement about where everybody's money is going these days. Right to the gas tank.

Seven years ago, I bought my first new car (actually it's a truck). I drive to places on the weekend where I cart around a lot of stuff. Also, it's the real reason my wife married me (cause I got a nice truck)! Only problem, it's a 22 gallion tank and costs $60 to fill it.

Now, I have a Toyota Matrix with better gas mileage, but I still have the 22 gallion tank. It comes in handy and my friends come out of the woodwork when they need to move.

#3 Front Light

To go with my square composition. I'm trying a composition with the subject (the light on the wall outside my home), with the lack of a subject. I'm not certain how it'll go. It looks fine.

I also tried to bring out the stuco on the wall to give it more texture. It's pretty nice trick I learned somewhere to create a channel, find the edges, then load that channel as a selection and sharpen the hell out of it. It really brings out the tectures. I'd like more texture in the light, but you can't have everything.
